University Student card
The Language Centre issues students with a Student Card providing
them with access to sports facilities as well as other university
facilities.
Libraries
The University of Valladolid boasts various libraries (one
central library together with one in each of the faculties)
offering, in addition to reading rooms, a loan service which
is available to students on our courses in possession of the
student card.

Sports
The university has good sports facilities available which
offer the chance to do any number of sports: aerobics, fitness
training, tennis, swimming, aikido, athletics, martial arts,
self-defence, squash, paddle tennis, canoeing, horse-riding,
yoga, fencing, weight training and shooting. The University
Sports Service (Calle Ruiz Hernández, 16) organises
different length courses throughout the year in all of these
sports.
Students on our courses may obtain
the sports card enabling them to make use of the facilities
available.

Computer Room
- At the Language Centre, where the Spanish courses
are held, there is a room specially equipped with
25 computers offering Internet access (schedules depend
on each course).
- The main university computer room, which is open
most of the day, is housed in the Alfonso VIII Residence
(C/ Real de Burgos, S/n) and is available to students
on our course by using the student card issued.

Canteens and Restaurants
There are several university restaurants and canteens offering
lunch and dinner at a reasonable price (between 5 and 6 Euros).
One of these, “El Apartamento”, is located on
the Miguel Delibes Campus, five minutes walk from the Language
Centre. Right next to our building, menus are available at
the same price in the Faculty of Education and Computer Science
cafeterias.

Other Languages
One of the advantages the Language Centre has to offer is
the chance to learn another language as well as Spanish as
courses are available in English, French, Italian, German,
Portuguese, and Japanese, among others. These courses, attended
by Spanish students together with students of other nationalities,
afford an excellent opportunity to get to know native university
students and form an integral part of university life in Valladolid.
Pick-up service from Barajas
Airport
We offer a pick-up service from Barajas airport in Madrid
for those who require it. This service is free for groups
of over twenty students.
We also offer a service where students
are met and picked up. This service is available for individual
students as well as small groups. Ask for details.
Medical Insurance
The Language Centre also offers optional medical insurance
at a cost of 8 € per week.
