This course is designed to meet the needs of those students who wish to gain a profound knowledge of both Spanish language and culture. The course curriculum is wide-ranging and aims to combine a practical knowledge of Spanish with immersion in various cultural aspects of the country through its history, art, literature and much more.
- Levels: Lower-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate and Advanced.
Basic knowledge of Spanish is required.
- Subjects: Spanish Grammar, Oral Expression, History of Spain, History of Spanish Art, Literature, Geography, Culture and European Union.

On the fist day of the program students take a written level test that will help place them in their appropriate level.
Eight trips are organized to cities of particular interest regarding their artistic and cultural heritage. Students may also take part in extracurricular activities such as movie sessions, getting-to-know-you parties, etc.
All participants receive a student card that provides them with access to the university facilities (library, computer rooms, sports facilities, etc). They can also have free Wi-fi Internet access anywhere on the university campus.
During the first week a special welcome dinner party is held at a Spanish restaurant.
At the end of the course students are awarded a diploma issued by the University of Valladolid. The Language Centre will arrange a special closing ceremony with typical Spanish snacks and drinks.
Given the nature of the course, the credits obtained may be officially recognised by certain foreign universities
