This course is designed to meet
the needs of those students who wish to gain a profound knowledge
of both Spanish language and culture. The course curriculum
is wide-ranging and aims to combine a practical knowledge
of Spanish with immersion in various cultural aspects of the
country through its history, art, literature and so on.
Course Description
- Dates: 8 January 2008 to
16 May 2009.
- Duration: 17 weeks.
- Total number of hours: 255 hours (15 hours a week) +
Complementary activities.
- Levels: Beginners, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate
and Advanced.
Students take a written placement test on the first day
of the course to determine their level.
- Content: Spanish Grammar, Oral Expression, History of
Spain, History of Spanish Art, Literature, Geography,
Culture, European Union, Analysis of Texts, Business Spanish.
- Excursions: Five trips on Saturdays.
- Fees: 1555€.
Additional Information.
The program includes extracurricular activities such as: a
season of Spanish films, Spanish music, welcome parties, theatre
workshop, and so on.
Five trips are organized to cities of particular interest
due to their artistic and cultural heritage. The trips are
included in the general fee.
Students are issued with a student card providing them with
access to the various services and facilities available at
the University of Valladolid.
Students can also enjoy a free Wi-fi Internet access in the
campus.
During the first week a special welcome dinner is held at
a Spanish restaurant.
At the end of the course students are awarded a diploma issued
by the University of Valladolid.
