| In addition to
language lessons, there are other activities which can help
to make learning Spanish language and culture more fun. That
is why our courses include a wide-ranging series of free activities
and trips together with the lessons.
TRIPS
Trips to internationally known places, most of which are World
Heritage sites, are arranged for Saturdays. These trips form
a key part of the programme. A teacher expert in Art History
accompanies students during the visit.
Each of these trips is carefully
prepared so as to make the most of the time available and
to enable students to get as comprehensive a view as possible
of the places being visited. They are the best way to enjoy
a day out with teachers and friends on the course.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Parties
Exchange parties with Spanish students. These are aimed at
bringing students studying Spanish into contact with Spanish
students who are studying other foreign languages at the Language
Centre. This leads to cultural exchange and no doubt provides
an enjoyable way to make new friends and chat in Spanish.
Movie Sessions
Best films in the history of Spanish cinema are shown
and presented by a teacher who also offers and explanation.
The teacher explains a series of points to make students'
understanding of the film easier, making this film session
a useful and dynamic activity in which students play an active
role.
Music sessions
The music and song workshop is aimed at giving students the
chance to get to know Latin pop singers and learn their latest
songs. The teacher provides the words to the songs enabling
students to broaden their vocabulary learn new structures
of spoken Spanish or simply become acquainted with the latest
musical trends.
Theatre
The theatre workshop offers students the chance to enjoy themselves
rehearsing, and practice their spoken Spanish as well as perform
a typical Spanish play as if they were real professionals.
Throughout the course students work closely with teachers
at the Language Centre on everything needed to stage the play,
pronunciation, intonation, reading and comprehension of the
text, gestures...
